Big Fonts ... a warning
« on: November 05, 2009, 01:26:43 PM »
(Can't believe I'm writing this...)

Dear forum users:

Too many of you are misusing the feature that allows you to make the text of your messages bigger.

Sometimes it's funny when you do that, and that's cool. But many times, the use of large fonts comes across as shouting, rude, and confrontational. It's like sticking your face right in the other person's face -- you're asking for trouble. It's like you're begging to get slapped, and other members often take the bait.

I'm tired of it. It needs to stop. If you can't discuss and debate without the use of large fonts, please don't join the conversations.

Matt

Actually, celebrating the Yankees win in ANY sized font is against the law. ;)

What about in a "what songs will they play tonight" sort of situation, where Nielsen, a few others, and myself will "super-size" our song requests, so Bono can read them easier? ;)
