Pitchfork be damned! I really enjoyed that performance, and it went down better than I thought it would. Bono's rapping attempt was quite good, in my opinion - haven't a notion what he was saying though. I got some of Jay-Z's bit, though:

Yeah, it’s straight up for (?) projects, professional (?) and the peaceful protest,
We can’t be oppressed - turn on your radio,
Out in Berlin walls are falling, revolution is calling,
Out in Iran elections are fixed,
Out in Rwanda the genocide’s sick
Turn on your radio, let’s all harmonise
To the people in power, hear the army cries (?)
Bop-bop-bop, hear the sound of their tune
Don’t make me have to motherf***ing  build some schools
Teach the youth for what lies ahead
Teach the truth, come on
Get up, stand up...

The (?)s are where I didn't pick up the words or if there's a strong possibility of them being wrong!

Cheesy  We know politicians did... at first!
I'm not big on rap at all and given that, it was okay.   Bono rapping beside him wasn't great at all and he should stick to singing & bongolese.

Whats wrong with playing with Jay Z?  Coldplay managed it just fine, they're obviously superior...
