Edge really has such beautiful hands.   I love how they're so slender and yet their shape and contours are so unmistakeably masculine.

I read J.Wenner's interview with Bono. It's from 2005.There's a whole section about Edge.This I found especially endearing:
WENNER: Are you guys best friends?
BONO: He’s one of my very best friends. I tend to put people into two categories: friends I worry about and friends I don’t worry about. Ali and Edge are definitely the friends I don’t worry about. They’re similar and they have similar roles in my life. I’m just in awe of them.

And from the other side of that coin: The last line in particular says it all...

The Edge and Bono are that close. It’s not a problem for him to hear through his ears. They choose to spend time together, even though they get to spend less time together now. “He always relishes coming back,” says the Edge, “which is another good thing. U2 gave Bono a platform and the opportunity, so in many ways Bono’s work is just an extension of the band. Our life informs our music. It’s a natural development. The interest in civil rights was there from the start. We don’t necessarily agree on every single aspect of his work. For instance, when he did his photo with George Bush, I was set against it because photos speak so loudly. There was some disquiet from U2 fans, but ultimately I think what he did turned out to be right.” Has your relationship with him changed? “No. We are very close. He is my best friend.”

Those words from both of them move me very deeply.

I mean, the hugs, kisses, onstage snuggling and all that, there's always this element of performance to it.   Words spoken in interviews have less of that quality.   I think everyone should have that sort of non-romantic relationship where, in middle age, you can publicly say with utter and unabashed sincerity, "S/he's my best friend."

I think BEdge is a great illustration of agape love. C. S. Lewis, in his book The Four Loves, used agape to describe what he believed was the highest level of love known to humanity—a selfless love, a love that was passionately committed to the well-being of the other.

or Nurse and Doctor of Bono the patient!

Yup.this is so cute. Bono has said repeatedly in interviews that Ali and Edge are very alike.You have to have limitless amount of patience and calmness when dealing with the force of nature called Bono.
