Hey everyone! Ok so I started this over at interference and posted it at u2.com as well.  I wanna make sure as many people as possible know about it.  I wanna get a sea of red and white balloons at the Edmonton show. Red and White obviously being Canada's colours. I'm always amazed at how cool it looks when there's hundreds of balloons at some of the European shows. Anyways I wanna do this  on a  much bigger scale. Go big or go home  Grin   So my goal is to  get enough balloons to cover the entire floor. At least make the floor the starting point.  I don't see why we can't have one balloon per person on the floor easy. Also if you don't have GA tickets that doesn't mean you can't be involved. People in the stands should have balloons also I think. Anyways I guess if you want people to follow you gotta take the lead so I have orderd 1000 red balloons and 1000 white ballons. As the date gets closer I'll probably order some more but it's never too soon to start. let's get this thing rolling.

White Balloons - 1000
Red Balloons - 1000
Total Ballons so far - 2000

Excellent!  I'm totally in on this.

We have RedZone1 tickets (can I again say how excited I am that I got RedZone ONE).

I am also bringing my Canadian flag which I will hopefully get to Bono.

Hello EdgeFest (I am hjwallace1 at Twitter)  and hello Hallucination!!
I am in on the Balloons, just cross posting from Interference and U2.com.

I am also bringing my Canadian flag, I took it to Vegas too.  It's a well travelled flag.  It'll see Seattle and Miami too! LOL!

The Dollar store also has red and white beach balls with the Canadian flag...

*only* 221 more sleeps until the concert!!!! Can't hardly wait...but I guess I have to.
sigh.

EdgeFest you are the best, I follow you on twitter and your setlist reports are awesome, I owe you a big beer for that...and for always making me giggle.

So at Zootopia Joe suggested O'Byrnes on June 22 and I am trying to book the patio for a fan gathering, what do you think of that?
Monday night would be good too...I have officially renamed the week of June 20-25:  It shall henceforth be known as U2 week!

what with Seattle on Sunday, here on Wednesday night...so gathering every night that week is fine by me!! LOL!

Depending on when people are coming in, I definitely suggest the MONDAY night rather than the Tuesday.  You have time to recoup, and the early GAers don't have hangovers on the Wed morning.  (You'll have one if you drink with me - LOL).  O'Byrnes would be my suggestion too, failing that I'd look at the Druid.  Another riot would be U2 karaoke somewhere... one of the places that has a karaoke room or something....

Aww... *blush*

Glad I make you guys smile.  I don't even give my REAL friends my Twitter stuff, because I would hear "all you do is talk about U2".  Well my friends, my Twitter audience are all U2 fans, so I'm just giving them what they want... Tongue

I'm a pusher.  Wait until I start ordering a set of shots named after various band members.  You will pay.  Cathal and I closed the pub doing "Edge" shots, baby.  Cheesy

The "The Edge" shot is none other than 3/4 of Jameson and 1/4 of amaretto... also known as the Irish Catholic, or in some circles, the "Nutty Irishman".

Do tell what the "Paul McGuinness" shot entails...  Grin

Mmmm...The Edge sounds delicious!  And I am sure the shot will be tasty too.  ba dum ba ching...  Cheesy
okay bad jokes aside...

The "Paul McGuinness" is fashioned after the "Baby Guinness shot" which (brace yerselves) shockingly  Wink looks like a wee pint of Guinness.  It's Tia Maria with a head of Baileys or they float irish cream on top (that's how they made them in Vegas).  The 5th member will get you super loaded.
