They tell you when your arse is shoooooowing

I thought I'd start this. Not as as a "moan about your kids" thread or the likes, although if you need to do so, fire away! It's more about sharing about your thoughts, experiences and the whole thing about parenthood.

I'm 36, and those that know me know I have six kids. eldest 18, youngest are twins, who are 2. Top four are all teens (almost). Out that way, it's not that big a family if you think about it, considering I started relatively young. And my other half is due (for the last time!) this June.

I love being a dad. Although Ive bene known to yell I consider myself more along the "structured hippy" parent. Although, had you asked me when I was 15 if Id have kids within 20 years, Id have looked at you as if you had two heads.

Why the hell not Shockdocta...Moan away.

As for me...
Almost 3 year old girl - She's my princess and owns me. I'm starting to toughen up on her with her diva tude but man is it hard!
5 year old boy - I'm hardest on him but have started to ease up. He's obviously going to be my finest hour (blow your horn says Mike Mills). 5 is a tough age but he's all over sports and seems targeted for hockey.
15 year old girl - This one is a step which I don't refer to as a step. She's known me since in utero....LOOOONNNNGGG story that makes me look even better than I do with my uncanny humor. I'll save that story for when I've really pissed some of the OLC off.  They'll stop their Testosterone bashing and give an all together...."AAAWWWEEE!" When gravy drops that one.

So yea kids are tough. Wouldn't trade it for the world though. I know I was a tough one with my rumored sarcastic answers to everything.  My Dad walled me many a times. I think I deserved them all.  Me sarcastic??? The gaul!!!!

3 kids

12 - girl, Virgo, drama queen, responsible, clean and dutiful

9 - boy, Taurus, family clown, the hardest one to get up in the morning, tries to turn everything into a joke

5 - girl, Taurus, baby, happily spoiled

I need lots of advice.  Smiley

Mine are as follows:

15-year old boy.  Responsible, sweet, absent-minded professor.  Just learning to drive.
13-year old girl.  Sporty, funny, smart.  Has a new boyfriend.
8-year old boy.  Likes being the baby.  Very Oedipal.  Melodramatic.

My daughter once described my parenting style as "raising us with lots of books and music".  I've heard worse descriptions.

I didn't kiss a boy till I was 15, and I thought it was early. What's the accepted age to start dating now?
