Any video with band members releasing birds is horrid. The fact that they look like canaries, and not doves, makes it even worse! The worst part is Edge chucking the bird like it's a Frisbee.

Any video with band members releasing birds is horrid. The fact that they look like canaries, and not doves, makes it even worse! The worst part is Edge chucking the bird like it's a Frisbee.
There is actually a reason they used canaries - in the old days miners took canaries in cages down into the mines with them to be their toxic gas detectors. if the birds got sick or died, the miners had to get out right away. So releasing the canaries was probably meant to be symbolic for shutting down the mines. |
