Hey all,I'm from Belfast and have been a U2 fan for 12 or 13 years now.Have seen them 3 times so far and hope to go to Canada next year to catch a show and also Germany.
I am a massive campaigner for under developed countries and have done a bit of travelling to these places.I currently volunteer for Oxfam and i am going to Uganda in September next year.

Thanks and peace and love x

Welcome coexist!  We hope you enjoy your time here. On a side note, I  work for Bono's  hero-Agnes Nyamayarwo from Uganda. I sell her beautiful handmade jewelry from the ladies in her village.  Where are you going in Uganda? Please tell me all about it! I'd love to hear it. I am an active member of ONE and support African Well Fund, Keep a Child Alive and CARE. They are all doing wonderful work.

Hello!
I would love to work for Oxfam...that sounds amazing.  Sure wish they would hire me. LOL!  Good luck with your campaigns.

And I am from Edmonton and was wondering about your trip to Canada in 2010...will you be coming out west to see a show?  Or are you going to TO or Montreal?

Nice to meet you!

I am going with a company called URF Uganda Rural Fund run by John Mary Lugemwa and il be there for three months living with a local family and basically they will be my family for the time I'm there.Whilst there i will be working in an orphanage and local school and when in the school we will be chatting and bringing attention to contraception and aids advice also.
There is a community centre also being built and il be helping with that i dare say which will be superb also.

I will be going to Masaka District which is were the most focus is on.

I am so excited and cannot wait to try and do as much as i can and also just to make people laugh and smile.

I also go to Canada in March/April just for a short time and I want to catch a show in Edmonton also,i hear Canada is amazing and just cant wait hehe

Welcome Gary! Enjoy the forum... I'll be interested to hear about your Uganda trip, the African Service Project at my school is currently very involved with the Invisible Children, and are raising money to help build a school in the Schools for Schools program.

Gary, I'm so jealous!  Like LMbVOXedgeAC, I work with IC, and I've been working for Uganda for a long time!  You have to tell me all about it!
