It's between POP, The Unforgettable Fire & NLOTH.

Let's go with POP. It's what's needed right now...

A juggle between NLOTH (Moment of Surrender finally getting to me fully), Zooropa (weird and wonderful) and ATYCLB (the album that drew me to U2).

Tough for me to choose between Zooropa, Boy, and All That You Can't Leave Behind, but I went for Zooropa. I know a lot of people don't understand what's so great about it...but I can honestly say I can listen to the album from beginning to end and not skip a single track. I like some more than others, certainly, but I can't say this about any of their other albums aside from Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Also, I really, really enjoy the truly beautiful lyrics on this album. The title track, Lemon, Stay, The First Time, The Wanderer...they just blow me away.  Smiley

I understand, and I had a similar dilemma between Boy and Zooropa but went the Boy route.  Over time, that album and October just keep amazing me more and more.  I find them very refreshing just as I often find Zooropa, but there is something different, and Boy gets the nod.

I would have voted for the studio 2/3rds of "Rattle And Hum", plus "Room At the Heartbreak Hotel" and "Hallelujah Here She Comes". U2 are great when they are bluesy.

Alternately, I go for ATYCLB, which is my other favourite. TJT and AB only come after these in my ranking.

I voted for TUF.  That album is magical, melancholy, and even mournful in retrospect . . . like pictures of beautiful actresses before they become famous, I sense that for all the gains that came afterwards, something special was lost, too, post-TUF.

Am I the only one that voted for Bomb? Sad

The album that turned me onto U2, still so many great songs on there that gets me playing air guitar. Vertigo, Miracle Drug, Sometimes, Love and Peace or Else, City of Blinding Lights, One Step Closer, Original of The Species, All Because of You!
It's a great album but my decision is split between ATYCLB and Zooropa.
I think I'll go Zooropa. Bomb, NLOTH, or Pop would be next.
