d.darroch's photo says it all. You are behind the stage, yes. But you are actually very close to the action and the view into the arena and onto the audience is very cool.

I've never sat behind the stage (had tickets there for Vertigo, but couldn't make the show). Some people complain that the band won't be facing them, but it's not like the band are singing to you individually anyway. I'm with you, I think it looks great, nice & close, & it must look absolutely awesome seeing the crowd going nuts during Streets, Elevation, Vertigo etc.

Thanks! Actually, that photo looks pretty close to the angle I'll be at. A little higher maybe but I'm encouraged!

They also have a screen hanging behind the stage that shows close ups of the band for those who don't have a view of the big screen.  If you're behind the stage in the lower bowl, you should still have a great view of the band.

OP, in 2015 both ends of the arena had their own individual screen (in some venues). It was quite small, & located quite high, above the end of the main screen. Last time it seemed to display mostly the band members, only occasionally capturing the spectacular visuals from the main screen.

What sort of angle are you at? It could be something like this.

Note, the screen tech has changed this time. Not sure if it will effect viewing angles.

if you're behind the stage you'll see the the band no problem but the screen will be obstructed/limited view.  are the tickets labeled limited view?  the ones i bought behind stage for LA said limited view and i sold them as fast as i could once they dropped price of full view seats.  see my comment on LA thread.

be wary of the behind the stage and "center field" seats.

when all these price drops started, i busted my ass to sell off my behind the stage seats and upgrade at no additional cost. even though i'm further away from the band members, i will have a clear unobstructed view of the screen which is part of the show and may play an even greater role (?). in 2015 my wife and i had no view of the screen even though we were very close to "e' stage on final night at forum.  i did see 2 of the other nights, so wasn't missing anything per se, but she did so i wanted to rectify that this time around.

in fact i chose last row in section 232 (row 16) night 1 and almost last row section 213 (row 21) night 2 so i can stand and rock out when the music calls for it.

I have tickets for the St. Louis show on May 4th. The only tickets I could afford were behind the stage on Adam's side. According to the map, I could possibly see the screens at a bit on and angle. Did anyone have seats like this for the I+E tour? How was the experience with the screen? I'm just excited to be going but it would be an added bonus if I could kinda/sorta see what is happening up there!

News and Rumors / Re: The U2 AR app is available for download for iOS and Android

I bet audience will legit complain about the battery drain when we're a few concerts in.

So glad it's FREE and on Android. If Steve Jobs (seems more tyrannical) was still running the ship, it might have been an itunes only app. We know the band are stil associated with apple.

I had a cheap flip but bought myself a decent smartphone for $133 three months ago. App works ok. But sometimes Bono doesn't appear.

Go comment/review the app on play store or itunes. The band might track the reviews (especially in itunes) for the first few days of this novel technology they're excited to show.

I cannot believe LIAWHL will be opener. Casuals don't know this song!!! But glad they dare to play soe tracks instead of warhorses to open.

do they know modern cell folks want video of the show, not photos? Tech is probably not there to save video. Willie is so intelligent.

I never saw the waterfall. Where can I see the waterfall?

Thanks... All my scattered thoughts.
