Last night should have been great. Front row GA tickets to see U2, and a group of racist cowards messed with my girl when she tried to come back from the bathroom right before the show starts. I knew something was wrong when she wasn't back in time for the start of the show, and sure enough, I get a text that she had been harassed by a group of White guys who wouldn't let her get back to where I was and told to "Go back where you came from, you don't even belong here you dumb Mexican b****. How did you even get in?". I leave to go find her, and find her bawling her eyes out on the curb outside the Rose Bowl.

This was Her first show and I was beyond excited to share the experience with her, and now I think may be her very last as she's traumatized. I'm pretty sad about how bad of an experience she had. We lost our place, were treated horribly trying to get back to where we were, we missed most of the show since it happened during sunday bloody sunday, spent so much money and I took her home in tears. No fault of the band of course, they seemed great, but it was shocking. Heartbroken about the experience is an understatement. I've seen you guys on every tour since 97 and have never experienced this. Even with the essage of love, some seem to have missed the memo. Heartbroken. Be aware of what's going on out there. I hear it wasn't the only case of this happening.

That's horrible - as a black woman when I go to these U2 shows, I sometimes wonder if somebody would pull that racist crap on me because, you know, 2/3 of the crowd I'm in isn't black, haha.  But fortunately I haven't had that happen to me, but I still have some kind of defense up in case some d**k wants to yell that I should go home and listen to my hip-hop records.  It's a damn shame those guys ruined your night, and I hope that at least you told the police about this.  It's amazing to me that these people can just freely be racist like that, and it's unfair because I have a feeling that she was actually born here - even if she's not, that's no excuse for those turds to do that.

I didn't hear anything about this stuff going on at the Rose Bowl so I'm pretty stunned.  You guys do what you got to do to sort this crap out, but I hope that you two can get to another concert on the tour to make up for lost time somehow...  I wish I had better advice for you, but that post threw me off guard.

Personally, I never give up a chance to see U2 in a stadium. Say what you will about smaller, more "intimate" settings but U2 is meant to be seen and heard in a stadium along with 50,000+ fans.

Completely disagree with this, sorry.

I definitely think their music is written for the masses, for sure.
