My view on Valentine's day is... Bah! Humbug! :)
I went to NYC to see them during i&e and definitely made sure I had extra time to tour around the city. The other shows I've traveled for were to be there to work the show first and then watch, so I didn't have as much time to sightsee for those.

The Music and Lyrics / Re: A Sort Of Homecoming (Has it aged well?)

I'm old enough to remember this era of U2. Heck I remember listening to my sister's Boy and October albums. While my first show was on the War Tour, it was The Unforgettable Fire that really solidified my love for this band. First the video's on MTV, A Sort Of Homecoming was the best from that album and in some way I think it's my favorite U2 video. Then seeing them a number of times on that tour this song was unbelievable, it encapsulated everything I love about U2. While I possibly like Bad and Promenade better it remains in a special place in my memory's.
Tours / Question for those who travel, especially great distances, to see the band

Do you only travel to see the show, or do you also stay in the city w enough time to also sightsee some?

I saw U2 in Toronto on the I&E tour, and then stayed for another 4 or 5 days to see more of Toronto. On the same tour, I saw them in both Belfast and Dublin: I planned my trip such where I had a combined 10 days on the island, so as to see both cities, as well as some of the countryside; afterwards, I flew to the mainland, and split 10 days between two Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest, flying to Istanbul from the latter, spending 10 days there to finish my trip.

For me, as much as I love the band, to travel like this to see them without actually visiting the town and country is a waste (Iíve also seen U2 in Atlanta, Chicago [twice], and NYC, and Iíve always spent time in each city, at least one day, too).

Thanks for the replies, I'm looking forward to it regardless, going with my brother who has never seen them in arena so I think he'll be blown away.

Also I'm pleased we'll get great view of the b stage as some of my favourite moments from I&E tour were on there.

Okay, let's try this...
According to an October 31, 1998 @U2 news article, Bono once had a 36-letter Lypton Village name. What was it?

The first one to PM me the correct answer gets a new 12" vinyl single of The Blackout.
Look for another question next week

Ok guys itís been suggested to try a hard cache clear. There are different key combinations to do this, and maybe it's browser dependent. You may have to google to find out how to do that.

Have a go and let me know?
