Kylie Minogue - The Abbey Road Sessions

It's a pretty fascinating orchestral album featuring drastic reinterpretations of some of her biggest hits. A pretty gutsy release for a pop princess.

Is the album cover a picture of Kylie walking across the zebra crossing in gold lame hot pants?

If EPs count, then Lana Del Rey/Paradise. It's good, and has got a few standouts, but not up to the insane standards set by Born to Die.

If they don't, then Kendrick Lamar/Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. One of only two good rap albums this year. Thankfully, both are incredible, and this may be the most innovative and daring non-Kanye rap album I've ever heard. It's a genius combo of old-school, Dr. Dre-style gangsta rap and experimental, Dark Twisted Fantasy-era Kanye stuff.

I'd agree with Nas for sure. Lupe was a massive let down.

Neither! The Heist by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. They're the future of rap. Also from Seattle, which instantly makes them awesome.

You may have heard this one by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK8mJJJvaes&feature=related

And if you like your rap a little more serious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAg3uMlNyHA&feature=related or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlVBg7_08n0

I'm not a massive fan of either Nas or Lupe, sorry.

"4th Street Feeling", Melissa Etheridge. Its $3.99 on Amazon MP3 for black friday sales week (they have a ton of albums on sale by the way, go check it out), was easy to pull the trigger and get it, her voice always gets me.

Spiritualized -- Sweet Heart, Sweet Light.

I feel bad for saying this, but I rarely purchase albums these days.  I only buy albums of bands that I'm really into.

I make up for it though by going out of my way and buying stuff from the band's store--usually t-shirts.

Got the self-titled debut from Morning Parade.  I've only listened to it a few times in the car so far, and several of the tunes are quite good for turning me into a steering-wheel drummer.

No, it's the original release from 2003, sounds awesome. It's not released now with the other 14 albums.
Yes they're available separately.

20th Century Masters - The Best of Steely Dan. It might seem corny, but they're one of my favorite bands! I also really appreciate that they put "Any World (That I'm Welcome To)" from Katy Lied. That is an amazingly underrated song!

Got this one and watched the Blu-Ray disc... It's a good show, and each member had their impressive performances.  I'm especially a fan of Jason Bonham's performance here, and you can see that Page, Plant, and Jones are appreciative of it as well.  Of course the band suffers from age here, but they captured the essence of Zeppelin as good as they ever have since John Bonham's death.

Loved the fact they played an obscure (relatively speaking) song from their catalog they had never played live before.
