English. It's funny.
What words are there that take on a completely different meaning when said in different parts of the world?
I'm always amused by this one:
"I'm rooting for the Bruins"
Now don't get me wrong... I love my football team too, but I'm not sure my love extends to dedicating my sexual exploits to them...
Another one, I think it was a powerade slogan in the 90s...
I believe it means don't quit, don't pike, don't give up.
But it could have been a slogan for sexual abstinance here in Australia.
What other words take on a different meaning when borders are crossed?
