Hello from NY
« on: May 20, 2017, 07:04:03 PM »
Hey there folks,

Been a U2 fan for a few years now - but have become very devoted. Love these lads. Ended up getting into them in an odd way - listening to U Talkin' U2 To Me. Brought a mix of the hits to work - everyone made fun of me. So in response I continued to make U2 mixes, getting deeper and deeper into the discography until I became a huge fan and realized that these guys are really special.

Saw my first show in Seattle a few weeks ago. General admission to the left of the Joshua Tree stage itself - pretty great view. Hoping to make it happen again at Gilette in MA! Fav song is Bad so it was a great joy when they played it at SEA to my surprise. Close to shedding a tear.

Those fellas that made fun of me for bringing U2 CD's? I brought them to the SEA show - total converts now.

Much Love,

Welcome aboard.  Don't listen to the people who hate on U2.  It doesn't matter what anyone else only matters what you like.  Most people just latch on to opinions that they hear from others without actually listening or exploring for themselves.  This is an amazing band that has been a fundamental part of my life for 30 years now.  As it turns out, there are legions of longtime fans that feel the same way.  U2 still makes great music, and they are special.

Welcome! Being a fan is the best when you just start hitting the deeper stuff... I wish that I had that feeling back!
