Band's fashion at Lincoln Memorial
« on: January 18, 2009, 07:09:02 PM »
Anyone else think they looked exceptionally great today? It's not so easy to look to well-put-together when bundling up against freezing temperatures, but I think this is the most stylish they've looked in years....possibly ever. I mean, let's face it, they're not known for their fashionable choices (mullets, 'fros, bubble pants, strange leather jackets, muscle shirts...)
They all had some nice coats on - Edge wasn't even wearing black! I loved Bono's coat, maybe because I just bought a long, black jacket myself!
Bono's got some new shades that I'm digging - amber-colored, silver star in a circle on each side. And his scarf! Where can I get one of those? It appeared to have writing on it, anyone know what it was?

Here's to the stylish new U2  ;)

Check the Edun site for the scarf.

They all looked amazing. Very stylish!  Fashionistas!!!!!  Yes, Joe, very observant. Edun rocks! The men's tee shirts are amazing and are worn by quite a few celebrities. Very cool stuff for a good cause for anyone looking for something with a unique and beautiful print.

Bono's fingerless gloves looked blue.  I didn't think you were supposed to wear blue and black together??

That's my only critique of today's wardrobe.

Uh oh, it does look like they are navy blue! (Though it may be the video quality, as I just checked on youtube)
I hope they're black...I have a pair of black fingerless gloves. With those and my new long black jacket, I'll just need the amazingly awesome shades and scarf to complete my Bono look. If I ever win the lottery, of course.

I thought the guys looked great.  (i couldn't really see Larry, however.   :()  Bono looked better than he has in ages.  Makes me remember why I fell in love with him in the first place.  Edge and Adam both looked classy as always.  (I've knitted fingerless gloves before, evel.  They're not too hard.  You should learn to knit.  Maybe you could knit yourself an Edun-style scarf, too!)

I think I started a thead in the wrong place, (forever in blue jeans)

I am campaigning for Bono to wear Blue Jeans more often!!

I don't remember ever seeing him in them?  They looked great! and I loved the boots he had on instead of his frankenstein shoes!!

I saw a picture of them standing at the Lincoln Memorial (most likely before the concert) and it struck me how great they all looked. Their coats were seriously impeccable! And I love Edge's Converse, being an avid Converse fan myself!
Here's to U2 the fashionable  :)

I'm with the consensus on this one - They all looked great and very handsome!
And Bono looks fit ( ... ready to tour, yeah!)  8)
