You can listen to the world premiere and download the mp3 at

(Admin edit: no filesharing allowed in the forum.)

Sorry didn't know, I shared the live audio earlier today and no one said anything. So you know it wasn't the single it was the radio premiere.

when I click on the new downloaded track in iTunes, the album cover comes up as "The Complete U2" rather than the actual album cover for the track, which is the case for the songs already downloaded previously...

Well at least there's something more to the song than the "sexy boots, get on your boots" part.  I'm encouraged that it isn't the first song on the album---I could see it fitting nicely in the middle of an album.

It's certainly better than Vertigo in my opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of the opening guitar riff--it has too much of a 70's prog-vibe that's ill-suited for the band (like Vertigo).  Beyond that, it's a very peculiar pop song.  I like how the bridge takes its own form into a sort of bonus chorus (better than the actual one, IMO).  The processed drums sound very early-90's...but the production very unique for a U2 song.  I'll have to sleep on it, but I'm very excited.

Oh yeah...who loves live-Zoo-Station-Bono-croak near the end of the song??  Maybe I should stick it on a thumb drive and put it under my pillow tonight...let it sink in.

"you dont know how...youy dont hoooow beautiful you aaarrreee"

I love the way that is done..

Yeah I dont love the guitar riff that much, but its awesome nonetheless.

I am also very encouraged to know that it is not the opening song on the album...its good to know that its going to be used midway through the album, which hopefully means ever better songs to come!!!!!! Can it be possible?

I've returned to the forum just to get in with the Atmosphere of the new song and new album.

First thoughts....

An Innovative, punky pop, psychodelic ride.

A little bit Pop, a little bit Achtung Baby....a distance away from ATYCLB and HTDAAB.

I really love it.

I agree with you totally! There is something in the middle of the song that seems almost sixties pop/rock to me but I can put my finger on it. Perhaps it's Larry's trippy fun drum beat about 50 seconds into the song.

Am I alone here?

I am feeling The Prisoner vibes in the background...a late 60's Beatles vibe, a White Sripes vibe of today with the riffs, a little of the Fly vibe.

I think the chorus reminds me of Queens of the Stone Age. I'll check on that.
