I got the CD yesterday and immediately put it into the CD player. Elevation and Get On Your Boots are Decent but my favorite is definitely "I'll Go Crazy". It felt like the only authentic U2 song, although thats probably because it was recorded live. I haven't listened to the entire CD but City of Blinding Lights is good and I hate Beautiful Day.This is only because U2 isn't recorded at all on this. According to the booklet, it's only studio musicians playing the progression. This shouldn't even be on the CD in my opinion. Fairly disappointing CD in my opinion but "I'll Go Crazy" is a gem and I hope they continue it through the rest of the 360 tour.

Does it say when and where this version was recorded? 8)

One the one hand, yeah. But I'm actually a bit disappointed with it.

Why's that?

Well, I generally dislike fade-in intros to any song. And that effect on the vocals in the second verse? Not a huge fan. I may play around with it a bit, as is my wont....

What I wish they'd have done for this album is provide a few tracks from NLOTH split out into vocals, drum bass and guitar and encouraged fans to make their own remixes. There's enough people that know their way around fruity loops or ableton now to do a better job...

That'd be cool.

Yea totally. NIN Bloc Party and  Radiohead have all done that
