Sorry to be off-topic but what is a landfill tax? Do individuals pay it for amount of stuff they send to the landfill or does the landfill co. pay it directly to the gov't?

Help me out with this-- I swear there was one where he orderd pizza? For the entire audience.

ZOO TV Detroit.  He ordered 10,000 pizzas.  They talk about that in U2 By U2.  I think they delivered a few hundred?

And of course, I saw the next (or previous) show in Cleveland.  Epic show, but no free pizza for us.  Somehow, most of the shows I've ever seen are seemingly unremarkable historically.  Though I think I did see the first full performance of the First Time, and maybe Your Blue Room.  Though I'm not sure on the latter.
If you were at Chicago 2 during the 360 tour, I think that was the first live performance of YBR.

Yep, that's the one.  It's no "first performance of Bad" or something, but it's what I got.

I like when in the Netherlands(?) he called KLM reservations to book flights to somewhere sunny and warm. The ticketing lady suggested that it should be warm and sunny in Amsterdam the following day.

Not forgetting all the great one-liners, like...

"Well, now! The last time a royal hung up on me, I sent the House of Windsor into flames!"

"I can afford it... I'm a very rich pop star!"

"I was a close friend of her grandfather's, and I just want to tell her she's doing a wonderful job filling the old man's shoes!"

And singing the Neighbours theme song, haha. :D

I can't remember which concert exactly, but one time when the Mirrorball Man called the White House, and told the operator his name...

Operator: Miracle Man?
Mirrorball Man: No, we need miracles, but I have mirror BALLS.

LOL, I never laughed that hard at anything Bono said before!

My very favorite, for personal reasons, is when MacPhisto calls the Archbishop of Canterbury.  His intro to the call:

"Rock 'n' roll, don't you love it? African rhythm, European melody - what an idea, eh? Catchy, eh? It's the new religion, rock 'n' roll, I think. I have a great interest in religion, actually. Some of my best friends are religious leaders. The Ayatollah... the Pope... even the Archbishop of Canterbury. I think he's fabulous. They're doing my job for me, aren't they? Putting the little children off God. What's the name of the-- my friend, what's his name... George Carey. I'm a little worried about him because he wants to let women into the church. Then again, you'll all just become Catholics, won't you? I'd like that. Nobody goes to church any more. That's right. Shall I give the Archbishop a call? Ah... they make lovely cucumber sandwiches at Lambeth Palace."

FYI, the top 10 most popular downloads from my MacPhisto fansite are:

1. Dublin (27th August), Jordan Hewson's answerphone message. (This is the most popular MP3 by a long way, it's been downloaded more times than the next three put together.)
2. Rotterdam rehearsal (7th May), Mr MacPhisto finding his feet.
3. Rotterdam (10th May), Monique at KLM Airlines.
=. Bologna (17th July), Luciano Pavarotti.
5. Lisbon (15th May), trying to order a taxi.
=. Tokyo (10th December), trying to phone Madonna at the final ZooTV show.
7. Rotterdam (9th May), MacPhisto's public debut.
=. Madrid (22nd May), MacPhisto phones the Ritz Hotel.
9. Rotterdam (11th May), trying to phone Queen Beatrix.
10. Verona (2nd July), MacPhisto sings Happy Birthday to Clannad.

Your MacPhisto tribute site led me to U2Start, then here, so I bow to you, oh great Canadanne.  I love me some MacPhisto and your site was nirvana to me, haha.
