Luie, this was U2's first American TV appearance and solidified Tom Snyder in my mind as the coolest American talk show host. I remember staying up way past curfew to watch this.

Sadly Tom passed away not long ago and in most articles about his career he was lauded for introducing U2 to American audiences. Thank you for sharing.

Very cool, Luie.  I vaguely remember seeing it when it aired.  Tom Snyder's eyebrows always fascinated me!

Thats when I had a crush on Larry, I was his age, now looking back he's so young, he
looks like my sons age...... :D

Yeah Bono danced cool, he still trys that little jig once in awhile, theres a little
more weight to jump around with now...dont we all now how that goes...
