:D I try to convert little kids. They have very young and open minds. Mwa ha ha! *evil smile* My 8 year old neighbor now successfully knows War and NLOTH. And some others went to the 360 (one of them fell asleep) and... well... I wil continue to spread my U2-fluence. *evil smile again*

No.....I respect other people's musical interest.  I enjoy U2's music, but most of my friends (age fifty and over) like other artist.  And I do too.

I usually COUNTER-CONVERT.

It's much more sweeter.

Friend: Dude, omg have you listened to Paramore and Bon Jovi's latest album? They truly rock.
Me: Only if you listen to Achtung Baby and The Unforgettable Fire.

A few days later.

I find a recently bought echo unit in his room.  ;D ;D

I used to do, but not so much anymore. My bro Daniel is a casual fan, so its nice to talk about the band with him from time to time. I sometimes would play an album if some of my other family members were around to see if they get into it but it doesnt seem to work as much. I have a brother and sister who are into RnB/Pop so its a lost cause with them.

Their loss.

No. Because I know I'll be met with resistance & scoffed at.
I've been thinking about & I get sh!it from ppl about being a U2 fan. I'm prob gonna start becoming a bitter U2 fan not with them but with other ppl who razz me about it.
The other day I picked up my friend & gave him & his kids a ride. His son (who's 7) asked me to play some rock. He was so cute. He said "I Like rock. Can you play some rock for me?" & I was like "Yes! Yes, I can!" So I put on Rattle & Hum for him. As his dad was getting him out of the car he asked what was playing. I said U2. He says "I thought it sounded preachy."  ::)

most people I know like the odd song but i dont push them to listen to everything

what gets me is when U2 hit the right moment as in Beautiful Day or Achtung with the fly I have a lot of friends who sit on the fence and than all of a sudden are big fans and know everything about u2.

ARRGGH I just smile and agree

haha true. I know its wrong to scoff at these "types" of fans but for me, listening to U2 is like a relationship. You don't want other people flirting with your other half just because she wore a new brand of eye-liner or shaved her legs.  ;D ;D

It's funny because the majority of people that despise U2 probably haven't heard anything outside of Vertigo or Beautiful Day.
