Im shocked that Kite was the favorite from ATYCLB and Beautiful Day was 3rd :o

That was a surprise to me to. A pleasant one though; I love the song.

The BIGGEST surprise to me was that Achtung Baby won favorite album.  Not just that it won but that it won by so much.  It has been my favorite but I didnt think this was the majority thought amongst fans.  I checked back to 2005 to 2007 surveys and the results were similar.  Must of missed or forgot the previous results.

really? there was a poll done on here recently and i think 40 something ppl voted for AB as best album, then like 28 or so for JT. I always assumed AB was the favorite.

sorry, edit - > 52 votes AB, 27 for JT.

I find it interesting how at bits it seems almost contradictory:
apparently everyone byus GA tickets - duh! Of course ;) but then most of the people have ansewred 0-2 hourse to the "how much time have you ever spent in a U2 queue"....
Interesting.

from watching the threads during concert days, people were saying they got into the inner circle for an 8pm show at 4 or 5pm. That means to get decent GA, you didn't really have to queue for hours this tour. I believe it.... I got outside rail on Adam's side at like 7:15pm.

Wow, Achtung swept it up! Most of my reactions came to the album reviews. Interesting though that Streets won best video... Not one of the better ones IMO but now that I think about it, U2 doesn't have any really extraordinary videos.

One other thing, I was SHOCKED to see Sunday Bloody Sunday chosen as the war-horse song to drop. I wouldve thought that more people wouldve said WOWY, judging by other forums and their dossapointment for recent performences of the song. I'm glad to see that Streets is still a strong number one though  :)

I wasn't surprised.  Don't get me wrong I love Sunday Bloody Sunday but if you compare the most recent versions of the song to Rattle and Hum or Under a Blood Red Sky it doesn't have that same original anger and I think it sounded better in the higher key.  Still a great song but I'd rather hear something else live at this point unless they played it in the original key.

It would never shock me to hear that AB was voted favorite. That album, tour and all of its songs win polls here all the time.  ;D

The worst was Elevation Tour SBS, in which it was treated kind of like a nostalgic, party tune.

The best is the studio song.

I can believe it, in fact I thought it would have been higher.

We had a discussion going a while ago among a subset of the staff members as to what the single most important event in the band's career was. I offered that it was easily the Live Aid performance and this poll backed me up. You guys rock.

I think Streets is their most famous and "iconic" video.  A lot of their better videos aren't really for their hit songs.  Lemon had a fantastic video, and so did Sweetest Thing
