Woo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

plus further, another forum reports that we will have announcement by end of next week for U2 in December and tix sale in September

SO, looks more promising and I guess we will know by end of next week either way... OMG.. excitement... PLUS!!!

well this is good news. granted, not as good as Feb/Mar... but great great great news.

I will sacrifice the entire tour though if Bono kills Rove. Sure, he may go down for murder but Rove will be dead.

So, greater good.... I've seen U2 live 16 times I think. i've never seen Rove mcManus dead.

Auckland/Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney/Perth. in that order.

If these turn out to be true, thanks for the heads up you-know-who-you-are.

Nov/Dec.

Ya reckon?

I thought you lot were all separatists anyway...  ;)

Perth's turn. Shame though. I think the venue is a huge hindrance to Adelaide. I mean Football Park... terrible terrible venue. Worse than Waverley

Also worth noting that Muse are in Australia at the same time as U2.

now some dates look like they overlap if the rumours are to be believed.

But who knows...

Bono singing knights of Cydonia with Bellamy on lead guitar?  ;)

Transport wise, maybe, but other than that it's alright.

Perhaps Adelaide Oval? AC/DC and Pearl Jam played there, didn't they?

Is it wrong that I'm waiting for the tour annoucement before cementing my plans for Eastern Australia?

I hope it's true! It would be a wonderful 25th birthday present for me: u2 and my first trip to Oz.  :o

Definitely wait for announcement. Or buy flexi tickets.

transport, seating design (terrible tiering), seating distance, lack of any atmosphere (I know that's a problem at stadiums as a whole, but Footy Park is just AWFUL), and just sheer size of the playing surface.

The size of the playing surface is a problem in Melbourne and Perth too. AFL grounds are shocking for concerts.

Unless you're at the front. In which case they're no different at all.

Subiaco is huge in terms of surface

Oh, I already have my vacation time booked and the flight to Sydney for December but I had been trying to decided if I wanted to go to Brisbane or New Zealand. U2 might beat out me wanting to go run through the New Zealand landscape.

Guess they should try to fit the Claw in Rod Laver Arena for 10 nights?  ;D
