Discotheque would be great to hear again.

A song I would not want to hear live again? Hmm... can't think of one. Maybe WOWY, because I've heard it so many times... not because I do not like it. I would rather they play another song instead. Like Please.

1) Sunday Bloody Sunday in any form.
2) Angel of Harlem in its current Bono & Edge acoustic form. do it full band with Terry on the B-3 or don't do it at all.
3) I Will Follow

I've only seen them twice and they didn't play anything I wouldn't want to hear again. But, if you mean three I'd never want to hear them play, they'd be:

BULLET THE BLUE SKY

HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN

99 BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL ;D

An Cat Dubh

because they're overplayed and/or because they can't play/sing them properly anymore : Pride, BTBS, WOWY, SBS

because they suck: Stuck, Wild Honey, Vertigo

:( No it doesn't. You're looking at it like you would look at Streets or COBL. Discotheque isn't meant to be a masterpiece of emotional music. It's meant to be goofy and outrageous. The whole thing is very tongue-in-cheek: it's U2 doing a trashy, fun song to mock themselves.

I dont like that U2 made a trashy, goofy song like that, to me its "throwing away" a song.   I dont expect every song to be a masterpiece of emotional music, but I dont want to see my favorite band, my favorite 4 men on earth, make such a childish, silly, stupid song like Discotheque.  I'm totally ok with you and other people liking it though, to each their own.

I dont wanna come off as pushing my opinion on others, and if it does, I'm sorry.  Im just very opinionated and i'm not really afraid to speak those opinions.  I dont want to pi*s anyone off though :-\

I see your point. But it's not like they were forced to record Discotheque or put it on Pop - they must have really enjoyed just letting loose and being crazy with it.

I'm not upset, and I don't think anyone else is either. This is a public forum, and everyone has their right to their opinion.
Agree to disagree. ;)

As we always do :)

I bet they did enjoy letting loose and being crazy with it, or else it wouldnt be on Pop like you said.  Its just not a song for me.  But my thinking is, if you're gonna have a song you're just gonna screw around with and have fun with, make it a b-side to a better song
