On current performance (and previous tours as well actually)

(1) Pride

(2) WOWY

(3) Stuck

I would have said Streets but the Rosebowl DVD has made me re think that!

Let's face it, "Breathe" is an extremely half-rate song, it sounds like lukewarm reheated R.E.M.

"The Unforgettable Fire" is an '80's dinosaur.  I can't figure out why they dragged it out for the 360 tour, other than to promote the UF deluxe re-release.

And I could do without "Ultraviolet", which is U2 doing INXS.

If U2 never played Discotheque again, I will be a happy man

How can you hate a song that much? :'(

Cause it sucks

:( No it doesn't. You're looking at it like you would look at Streets or COBL. Discotheque isn't meant to be a masterpiece of emotional music. It's meant to be goofy and outrageous. The whole thing is very tongue-in-cheek: it's U2 doing a trashy, fun song to mock themselves.

I dont like that U2 made a trashy, goofy song like that, to me its "throwing away" a song.   I dont expect every song to be a masterpiece of emotional music, but I dont want to see my favorite band, my favorite 4 men on earth, make such a childish, silly, stupid song like Discotheque.  I'm totally ok with you and other people liking it though, to each their own.

I dont wanna come off as pushing my opinion on others, and if it does, I'm sorry.  Im just very opinionated and i'm not really afraid to speak those opinions.  I dont want to pi*s anyone off though :-\

Discotheque aint a stupid song though. The apparent silliness of it is a just a mask for more serious issues of consumerism etc.

I wouldn't necessarily want them to never play these, but to at least take a break from:

Pride
Pride
Pride

It's the only one I can think of.  Didn't miss it at all on the 360 tour.

Pride
WOWY (I think even Bono cant be Ar**d to go all out on this one anymore).
IN A LITTLE WHILE mostly. If you look at the 360 DVD its such a momentum killer.

I rather liked Bullet (and was very disappointed it didnt make it to 360!!) and Discoteque live. WOWY lost me live round ZooTV era, though I do like a "go to the loo" song. Walk on is pretty yawn-able live.

I could very easily say "Shadows and Tall Trees" or something like that, but lets make it interesting.
"3 u2 songs you never want to hear live again"
The again implies that I've heard them live before, so I'll take out 3 songs from the only U2 concert I've been to.

   1. Breathe
   2. No Line On The Horizon
   3. Get On Your Boots
   4. Magnificent
   5. Beautiful Day
   6. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
   7. Elevation
   8. Your Blue Room
   9. Unknown Caller
  10. Until The End Of The World
  11. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
  12. The Unforgettable Fire
  13. City Of Blinding Lights
  14. Vertigo
  15. Crazy Tonight (Remix)
  16. Sunday Bloody Sunday
  17. MLK / Walk On

  18. One
  19. Where The Streets Have No Name
  20. Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
  21. With Or Without You
  22. Moment of Surrender

That was fun and interesting. those three are ones I foresee not coming back on later tours anyway. But that entire show I was in a haze of pure bliss at finally being at a U2 concert, so I adored every song.I also think that U2 on any tour should play as many new songs as possible, because they have the rest of their lives for greatest hits tours. But, and the end of the day (night), those three were the least best.

Boom Cha!

Did you just describe Discotheque as "childish", "silly", and "stupid"?  :o

I respectively disagree....it's, as Bono describes, a riddle about love. It speaks true too.

You take what you can get, 'cos it's all that you can find, but you know there's something more

That lyric alone isn't "childish", "silly", or "stupid".
