Walk On (kitschy dribble)
SBS (not much reason to play it anymore, overplayed)
Beautiful Day (overplayed)

Many others too, but will restrain myself...

If U2 never played Discotheque again, I will be a happy man

How can you hate a song that much? :'(

Cause it sucks

:( No it doesn't. You're looking at it like you would look at Streets or COBL. Discotheque isn't meant to be a masterpiece of emotional music. It's meant to be goofy and outrageous. The whole thing is very tongue-in-cheek: it's U2 doing a trashy, fun song to mock themselves.

I dont like that U2 made a trashy, goofy song like that, to me its "throwing away" a song.   I dont expect every song to be a masterpiece of emotional music, but I dont want to see my favorite band, my favorite 4 men on earth, make such a childish, silly, stupid song like Discotheque.  I'm totally ok with you and other people liking it though, to each their own.

I dont wanna come off as pushing my opinion on others, and if it does, I'm sorry.  Im just very opinionated and i'm not really afraid to speak those opinions.  I dont want to pi*s anyone off though :-\

Did you just describe Discotheque as "childish", "silly", and "stupid"?  :o

I respectively disagree....it's, as Bono describes, a riddle about love. It speaks true too.

You take what you can get, 'cos it's all that you can find, but you know there's something more

That lyric alone isn't "childish", "silly", or "stupid".
there's nothing purely childish about U2. they're just not.
(except Boy ;D). there is a childlike innocence/sense of wonder that comes through a few of their songs that is just magic. but that's not "childish" in the sense oap used it in.

now.. on topic :D.
wowy. so good! but tired.
sunday bloody sunday... not sure about that one. the fact is it's a great live song.
i will follow.
Bulllet.
ISHFWILF was amazing on popmart. lost it since then.

I just want to see them live once, just once. ("and imagine, it's Jason McAteer!" :D )

Of course "just once" is said for emotional impact, I would enjoy seeing them again and again and again.

I agree! Mind it great when you see the band pick up a song and make it something new. Bad was an example, I'll Go Crazy (IMHO) is really a fantatsic changed song! Think i should look for the positive thread!

To be honest, if I was actually at a U2 concert, I would love to hear this.  The versions at the not very considerable U2 gigs that I've attended so far have be brilliant.  I believe I even had goosebumps. :D

"The Unforgettable Fire" is an '80's dinosaur.  I can't figure out why they dragged it out for the 360 tour, other than to promote the UF deluxe re-release.

And I could do without "Ultraviolet", which is U2 doing INXS.

If I were drunk right now, I'd say these comments made me fall out of my chair.  But I'm not drunk, so I'll just say that they were very shocking and just simply do not compute.

Well i think they do compute because they're songs that DanM321 doesn't want to hear again.

You just don't agree with them.

Neither do I actually, but then TUF is my favourite U2 song of all time.

i'd get rid of everything they've played acoustically except for "stay". all of the other acoustic songs are skipped when i watch the dvd's. utterly pointless.

also:
in a little while
numb

SBS
pride
wowy   these are all over-played and i think it's obvious they bore the band to death when they are playing them.
