The upcoming sales of the Tour Down under will be interesting, and a good barometer of U2's popularity "Down Under" as
the tour continues.

How many extra gigs will be added to these two countries ?

5 have already been announced, I am guessing an additional 5 gigs will be announced
based on:
An extra 1 in Auckland, 2 extra in Sydney, 1 for Adelaide, and 1 extra in Melbourne.

Japan is a strong contender for a few gigs two, but I guess 5 extra, or 10 in total for just Australia & New Zealand.

there are additional dates booked for melbourne (2 more, 3rd & 4th), sydney (14th), brisbane (9th) and perth (19th), as well as a 2nd night for auckland (26th).

They won't add Adelaide in my opinion.

Of those dates I think 2nd shows in melbourne, sydney and auckland are worth banking on...

Doubt they'll add dates for brisbane or perth.

Sydney stadium is the largest, they won't get 3 shows in my opinion. Sydney's capacity will be around 90,000 with the floor. Melbourne and brisbane around 65,000. Perth 55,000.

Auckland's is a small stadium with some temporary seating. 2 shows a certainty there.

Interesting... whats the information source for these additional dates ?

The same one that provided the actual dates days ahead of announcement.

Since getting them I've also validated the stadium bookings with the melbourne one at least and it checks out...
