Best Leg of the 360 Tour So Far?
« on: September 23, 2010, 06:58:34 PM »
As the third leg of the tour nears its ends and we see more setlist surprises.... which leg of the 360 tour do you think has been the best thus far?

For myself, my favourite setlists were those of the first leg, but I have been VERY pleasantly surprised at the sheer energy and power the band have this year- I think last year's setlists were better, but the band themselves seem on fire this year, and I've preferred my concert experiences. I am sorry at the loss of NLOTH songs but we've now seen *five* brand new songs make their live debut (Of which I have seen and really enjoyed four!) plus surprise appearances of Miss Sarajevo, I Will Follow and Hold Me Thrill Me as regular and semi-regular respectively. So I'm probably going to give it to leg 3 even if I prefer the sets of earlier legs.

And I'm really excited and jealous for all the people who are going to see shows in Australia and America when I have a feeling we'll see even more new songs and dynamism. For a leg that started with complaints of stagnant setlists, this has really shaken things up!

Yeah, I think Europe this year has been the best leg, although there were many incredible shows in Europe and the States last year. For fans who see more than one show then obviously the setlist variation this year has been a very welcome surprise. Pity about the bloomin weather in Europe this year though!

Leg 3 has been pretty cracking and full of great performances and surprises. So I pick that one.

I listened to the Sheffield broadcast in it's entirety and I have to say that show flowed perfectly, so the first leg gets my vote.

I especially liked the way that they opened the show with four songs from their new album. 8)

3rd leg : the 1st leg was shaky to start with but stunning, this leg is a lot more confident and the choice of songs more intruiging.

From a point of view that didn't get to see a show on any of the three legs (and probably won't see them in OZ, or the Americas) I would say that it has been a blast listening/watching the songs from all three legs. Every leg had its benefits

Euro 1: heavy on NLOTH material and the Debut of The Claw and the Laser Suit
NA 1: The Rose Bowl broadcast and dvd release
Euro 2: emotion/energy of the band (perhaps realizing they could have never performed again with Bono's back), debut of 5 new, unreleased songs, and of course the setlist variation has been great as well.

Right now I would say that Euro 2 has been the best leg so far. But I'll need to wait until a month after the U2360 Tour has ended to give a more openminded view. :)

1st leg Europe got my vote . loved all the NLOTH songs and was hoping to hear more on the 2nd and 3rd leg . Don't get me wrong i love the new songs but just feel they have vastly under played the NLOTH songs .
