I must admit, I wish I'd seen the PopMart show at Roundhay, Leeds '97.  A regret.  By FAR, the U2 show that was made for stadiums.

I felt closer to the band at the PopMart, Vertigo and 360 shows than I did on Elevation.

I like them in stadiums more. What they can do in stadiums....and with the stage possibilities....it's awesome!

How can you compare unless you've experienced both arena and stadium shows?

I saw U2 in a stadium (well, in a field ::)) on the Zoo TV tour and in an arena for Elevation.  While Zoo TV was technically a better production, I enjoyed the Elevation show much more, simply because of the venue.  It makes a huge difference in the overall concert going experience, IMHO.

much prefer it indoors, although outside can have it's charms if you're in the mood ;)


Bottom line is that, no matter the stage production, or size of the crowd etc Indoor shows SOUND better and nothing comes close to being as important as that.
