...it's obvious his back is affecting him, but I saw U2 both this and last year and his performances have been, "lazy". I'm guessing the smoking doesn't help him.

I saw him twice last year, and have watched quite a few Youtube videos and I honestly don't know what you're talking about. He's slim, he runs, bounces, swings and otherwise is as active as any performer I've ever seen. He admitted to having a few cigarettes right when the surgery was happening, but quit right after.

Are we talking about the same man?

If anything, he's moving more this year than in over a decade! The entire Stingray intro seems designed to let him bounce, strut, leap up and down and generally show that he's back and "better than ever"!  :D

I wouldn't exactly call swinging on a hanging steering wheel, legs wrapped around it like some sort of amusement park ride, lazy :P

For a man who just had a back injury and surgery in May, I'd say he moving like superman !!!  ;D  He is moving better than he has in recent years. I am impressed, but I hope he listens to what his doctors tell him.

I actually agree, this tour, both last year and this he is static more often than before, but FFS he is 50+ and i dont mind saying i hope i look as good as him at 50+.

Somehow i cant see him running around the eclipse AKA elevation tour to streets he's probably only make it 1/2 way  :P
remember these concerts are physically demanding and he hasjust had major back surgey the like of which would have finished off most musicians's sportsmen etc.

It's probably worth remembering that the circles of the 360 stage is an awful lot bigger than the heart was!

Anyone who has seen the best frontman in the world on stage and up close recently ( as I have twice in last 2 weeks) would have to completely be amazed at the fitness levels of a 50-year old guy who could hardly move a few short months ago.  I hope I will be half as fit as Bono when I get to 50 as my close up vid of him from Seville will surely attest to.....!  :)

Bono's a 50 year old bloke with a dodgy back; what do you want?  An Olympic performance?
