Hard question - but here a few faves. If pushed In Rainbows is their best album though...

Fake Plastic Trees
Lucky
Exit Music
Idioteque
Packt Like Sardines
Where I End and You Begin
Nude
Reckoner
Polyethylene
I am a wicked child

Goddamn they're good!

Radiohead FTW! I am a "The Bends" kinda girl...I mean I liked OK Computer 2nd best but The Bends is just such a classic album.
High and Dry and Karma Police would be my fav songs.  And isn't Ed O'Brien dreamy, ladies?
LOL!  ;P

(somewhere M2 is cringing at this thread...LOL!)
I hope the last option wins too...so funny.

Fake Plastic Trees matches anything U2 can do in terms of a rousing anthem, yes?

It's so long since I joined this forum that I've actually forgotten the reason why.

So all I can do is cast my vote based on why I'm here now - Radiohead!

Oh yes, it has that emotional build up that I love so much, like One, hey? I think that is the single element in U2 songs that I love the most, they can do that better than everyone else.

Who has seen Radiohead live?  I saw them, about a million years ago before Creep made them so popular, at a small, small venue at the Students' union at our University.  Even then, they could build up a song in a way that I had only seen U2 do before.  I remember being struck by that.  I have never seen them live since then though.

I saw them supporting some other band before they released Pablo Honey. I've seen them on every tour apart from the Bends since. They are unbelievably good live. The best time was in Paris on the In Rainbows tour. A truly staggering display of musical artistry and emotional intelligence. I think Radiohead win over U2 in that they're a lot more musically interesting (although the more interesting music on UF gave them a run for their money). And Thom Yorke can articulate himself in subtler ways than bono...
