The only Radiohead I know is a result of living across from a girl my frosh year at uni who blasted OK Computer on infinite repeat . . . I am wishing I had paid more attention!  ;)

I joined the forum because I didn't just want to read peoples' responses to questions, I wanted to ask questions, too.  And now I am addicted to all the affirming folks I've found here.  :)

Aren't you pretty!

Oh, I sometimes think my posts are clearer than they actually are.  :-/
I did not come here to troll, and any negativity from me is venting the accumulated disappointment associated with the last couple of years of U2 activity.

What brought you here DGordon?

I wasn't trying to label you as anything satellitedog; I was referring to the forum as a whole :)

Anyway, I came here because my friends and family are either completely uninterested in U2, only like a few songs, or despise them altogether. I can't really get a proper discussion about them anywhere else but on here.

Huh?

I wrote a post.
You quoted it and wrote "Aren't you pretty!"
I felt affirmed - thank you!  :) - and pointed to your post as an example of the reason I enjoy being an @U2 member - most of the posts I read here are positive and affirming.

Non-verbal cues do clarify communication.  Can you imagine what this place would be like if we had a video chat dimension?

Oh, I see - I wasn't referring to your post but your profile picture. Most people hate my posts because I like Radiohead more than U2 - and I don't like Bono. But I do like Take That. It's a complicates world, that's for sure...

I actually joined @u2 because every other forum I tried to navigate gave me a major headache.

Clean layout, nice homepage.

The people here are pretty cool too, I guess.  ;)

Indeed Promenade, it IS a complicates world.

And we're all attention whores in our own little way...

If you want to know more about Radiohead just join You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ; it's a Coldplay forum but full of Radiohead fans unfortunately.
Oh and don't mention U2 if you join, if you do you'll become a pest and earn a reputation as "the girl who loves Bono a little too much"

Haha, yeah. There are a lot of Damon Albarn fangirls there, too. It's not really a Coldplay forum.

I don't have a problem with that at all, it's just that you seem to drill it into us every second post.

Apart from that, you're a good poster, if not overly critical.

It's been too long ago now to remember why I joined. Even though I'm not as peachy keen on the band as I used to be, I hang around because I enjoy the people here. That and M2 won't release me from the indentured-servant contract he tricked me into signing by telling me if I helped out, he'd finally become M3 and we'd both get BMW's.

Live and learn.

i joined to spew some cynicism and generally play devil's advocate. i still like the band. worried about the direction they have been heading in over this last decade. holding on to faint hopes of a few final mona lisa's from the band. it's the first site i go to for any u2 news. great site altogether and a good mixture of people.
