The "Play SOMETHING from Pop" Campaign
« on: November 26, 2010, 08:31:23 PM »
Since my previous "play Ultraviolet" Campaign worked for Leg 3, Now the one last thing I'd love the band to do is finally pick a song to play from Pop.

It could be anything, even Playboy Mansion, but I think this album deserves some attention for once, it's too good to be ignored.

So in support of this, everybody should put up a pop lyric under their pics/avis.

I very much agree! I wrote in a different thread that after watching the PopMart DVD,  I NEED to hear them perform MOFO, Gone and Please. Come on boys...give us what we want!

YES. PLEASE U2.

There are SO many good songs on Pop, so many songs that explode live, like Mofo, Last Night On Earth, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Please, Wake Up Dead Man.....oh, what I wouldn't give to hear Mofo or Last Night On Earth or Please live! Or Gone like you did it in the Boston Elevation concert.

They would fit SO WELL into the set.

And let's play it full band, electric, no wimpy little acoustic duets here. WE WANT TO ROCK.

POP! POP! POP MUSIK!

Well, all the better if I do. Then I'll sue U2 for withholding err....Pop sustenance and then they'll HAVE to play something. ...  ??? ::) :D

A thousand times , yes!! Hey, Middy , it'll happen. If they did Scarlet , ANYTHING  is possible. I think they will pay some sort of tribute to each of their earlier albums. It seems like that is what they are doing.  ;)

I was a TREMENDOUS supporter of the Ultraviolet campaign, but this one...ehh, not so much :D :P

I wont have a problem with the occasional IGWSHA, Gone, or Please (electric or acoustic, i dont care.  I LOVE the acoustic version) but I wont loose sleep if Pop is the only U2 album not represented

Every album should be represented on every tour, even if its just one song.

As Pop is there best, IMHO, of course  :D
