This would have been my choice as well. I voted Bono at this time and it was an easy choice.

I'm a businessman and so I've gotta say I admire Paul McGuinness enormously.

Clayton is the most dispensable and disposable member.

He was wasted one night in Oz, and he roadie took his place.

If Mullen, Edge, or Bono were incapacitated, would a roadie have taken over for a single night?

It is no surprise to me why Clayton is leading this poll.

Cheers,

J

OMG, Jick, that was one incident over 15 years ago!! I hope no one holds me accountable for the mistakes I made 15 years ago!

That is all gone, forgiven and forgotten.  No one even remembers that anymore.

I am just saying, it would not be the same scenario if it were any of the other three members who could not make the gig.

Cheers,

J

They HAD to go out that night with a live international PPV broadcast the following evening. Not saying that without that commitment they definitely would of postponed, but the fact is they had NO choice, so for that particular evening I dare say that every member, Bono aside, would of been replaced.

It's a really sad argument, take a poll for favourite member of Led Zep and I'd bet my house on the bass player coming last.

Among my friends, the bass player coming in last is even true of the Police (Hint: the bass player is Sting!)

The drummer is my least favorite member of Genesis. :)

You could be right.  However, we don't know what Adam Clayton contributes to the creative process in the studio.

And indispensability or lack thereof is no indication of how much fans might like individual band members.

I don't want to get us off topic but you would NOT believe the arguments...I'm not sorry they broke up again, just to avoid the discussions.

For me they are all favorites, and I love them all so much. So I shouldn't really have voted... but I voted Adam 'cause he's my least favorite member. Whatever, still a favorite :-*
