I agree Bono would be great joining BB but not the other way round. Makes me think where else Bono might pop up.

Hmmm, possibly, yeah it may BE the worst

Still, it sounds like something Mr.T would say

agreed.  how can a song be bad with the lyric:

"I was there when they crucified my Lord.
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword.
I threw the dice when they pierced his side,
But I've seen love conquer the great divide."

Yeah! It's a great idea to bring Love back To Town. BB King guesting would be really special.

I disagree completely with a few of you here. When Love Comes To Town is a great song in my opinion. It's a raw , in your face , and full of emotion. With the legendary B. B. and Bono on vocals....well , I just think it rocks. I love to belt that one out  :D That would be amazing if they reunite and do the song.

My dream would be to hear this song sung by B.B. and Bono in B.B. King's in NYC. After that , Bono can belt out Angel of Harlem for Billie Holiday in her old stomping grounds.  Bono, B.B., Billie   equals HEAVEN!   8)  Ah...dream on.

Oh and I also thought it was so cute to read just how nervous B.B. was to meet U2 for the first time as U2 was to meet him. That is awesome. (As read in U2 - A Diary by Mr. M. McGee  ;D ;)).

I love the idea! Make it happen!

And for the record, I like the version in the R&H movie more than the album version.

I agree, I never liked that collaboration all that much. Bono should just tell BB that he will join him for his set, but not the other way around.

BTW, crazy that Bono is only a couple years younger than BB was when R&H was filmed ("Here he is, fifty-two ear--year old, an' look what he's tryin' to do!").

I'm pretty sure it's sixty-two.

YES! I love this idea!
B.B. was my first concert when I was 14, and he actually played WLCTT. I was so excited that I belted out all the words. Unfortunately, I think I was the only person there who had ever heard the song before! It's one of my favorites from R&H, and if B.B. and his band could join U2 for it (and AOH too, please!) I would be elated.
