Isn't it funny how we will get all excited about listening to a U2 song on the radio that we otherwise might skip if it came up on our ipod?  :)

Yes, I completely agree!!  It's because when you're in control you listen to what is right for your mood or what is happening to you at the time.  But when you hear it on the radio it's special, and you think, Hey, that's my favorite band!!  ;D ;D

I heard One on 104.5 KFOG (San Francisco).  After the Oakland show KFOG played U2 well in to the night.  It was great listening to them after being so high from the show since we had to sit in parking lot traffic for 45 min  :-[  If you have SiriusXM, the Spectrum plays U2 a lot also!!

Live in Concert (sydicated, I would guess) featured the Zoo TV Sydney concert today.  I heard Angel of Harlem, One, Bullet, Satellite of Love, Streets, Pride, WOWY, and Can't Help Falling in Love.  I was listening in my car, and I may have driven a little extra.

British radio never plays U2, not even Beautiful Day or WOWY

I heard the Mary J. Blige version of One on the store PA at JCPenney yesterday.  It was a bit loud, too.   :-\

I think she's meant to be loud.  The ability to screech implies great vocal ability, apparently. :-\

I'll try that then. I should have stated that I only really listen to BBC Radio 1 (which is rubbish in every sense).

I know this is an obvious question, but why do you listen to it, then?

You can tell a gig is about to happen here. Today alone:

WOWY, MW, RHMT, BD, MOS, GOYB

Various stations but all within the 30 minute drive back from the Drs.

Finally I hear U2 on the radio, and they weren't singles either. Breathe and Until The End Of The World on Zane Lowe.

The sad thing is she can really sing very well, but the producers don't ever let her explore those lower ranges enough. It's all shouting.
