I think Stay would work well. Acoustic NLOTH would work but would bore a lot of people

And IALW doesn't? Acoustic NLOTH like they did that one time would be a great replacement if you ask me.

That version was SO weird though. Acoustic NLOTH would be one thing; acoustic but with full band kicking in part way through was.... strange. Neither bad nor as good as the original, but strange.  :D

I know, in the recording you hear Edge, and then, he disappears

I am glad U2 don't listen to the "forum fans".

While they are only a minority, they are a noisy one at that.  They consist of the hardcores, and the extremists.

If these guys had it their way, we would be getting Drowning Man, Acrobat, and a number of songs from the POP album while nothing except one or two maximum from ATYCLB.

We would get a concert with the not-really-hits instead of the greatest-hits.

And we would miss a little gem like "In A Little While" making it.

I think U2 keeps that song because in a live setting, the crowd reacts wonderfully to it. They usually gauge it on the crowd.  That may also have been the reason why they dropped Miracle Drug from the Vertigo Tour - it was too "midtempo" and the crowd wasn't really into it.  Quite said because Miracle Drug is easily among my all-time favorite U2 songs.

But then again, at least I do have "In A Little While".

Cheers,

J

From what I can tell, audiences are lukewarm to IALW at best, hostile at worst from the videos I've seen.

You know us so well.

Although you forgot to mention the no less than three songs from Zooropa.

Ironically enough, my favourite 360 shows probably had weaker setlists than the ones I didn't like as much, but far better crowds, the band were in better form and the set was far tighter, plus I was in GA as opposed to seating, so I enjoyed them much more!  Setlists definitely aren't even close to everything.

Ahhh.... got it!! Duh!! :) I recently got back into Passengers and Slug has become one of my favorites. I like Elvis Ate America too.

And, Droo, I'm totally jealous of your setlist and I wish I'd been in Toronto in 2009. :/ It was one of the cities I thought of catching the show at that year. But I couldnt decide and then time ran out and I ended up going to none of the shows which I now regret since they had a--dare I say it--better set list in 2009.
