Did anybody else notice that when they got the the lyrics "lets go to the overground" the entire screen went off, and didn't really come back on. And also the bottom part of the spire lit up?

The screen went off but the spire lit up and rotated to get a spotlight/shimmer effect on the screen.

I doubt the audience were very confused, to be honest; it's just that it's not really the sort of song designed to get a big crowd reaction. Plenty of songs are like that; Miss Sarajevo wouldn't if it weren't for the opera note, The Unforgettable Fire certainly never got really any sort of audience response. The question will be whether U2 are disappointed and find it sedate *even* for this type of song.

I really don't think anyone gets confused by a song at a concert.

To date I still say that the "Unknown Caller"/"Unforgettable Fire" tandem was one of the best back to back calls in 30 years. Perfect compliments to each other. I miss them...*wipes tear*

I thought that Your Blue Room/Unknown Caller was better. The ethereal YBR leading into those birdsongs? Loved it.

(Even though Unknown Caller sucks)

Who would have thought this sentence could be seriously uttered a few years ago?

Another thing I wonder now is if they will perform the other little parts left out of the performance, like the second verse on the first section of the song.

Very true. As frustrated as we are with the fact that there won't be a new album until after the tour, we have to give the boys credit for trying new live stuff.

Probably, to see how the reaction will be in a more favorable country crowd-wise.
