After having watched the Zooropa clip, I'm pretty sure it will be dropped soon.  :'( :'(

Why so?

The crowd seemed dead, and this is South America we're talking about!

Perhaps the fact that they couldn't see the band confused them. :P

It seemed to get a decent applause at the end.

Dead and confused are different.

They did give a nice cheer and applause at the end, but I mean all of a sudden this song comes on that a good chunk of the audience doesn't know, not to mention the screen going bonkers, and that the band disappear from sight.

They were probably confused, and I really think that's what the band were going for.

Forget Crazy Tonight and its intention to disorient and confuse the audience. THIS is what they were aiming for, I think.

Exactly.

I think now, the Crazy remix is known by the fans, so it's original goal of confusion isn't being accomplished anymore.

With Zooropa, the song radiant a sense of confusion somewhat, especially onto how it sounds.

Also, Willie's diary says Zooropa has been considered for about a year, since the Questions segment first debuted, so I doubt they're going to just let it go that quickly.

Well, one thing I do know is that we all want it to stay.

Ooh, Stay, there's a song I wouldn't mind returning.....

I think the band wants it to stay as well. Willie's diary says that the band and crew have all had a growing desire to add Zooropa live since the Questions segment was dreamed up. This is something the band cares about themselves, and I can see them plowing ahead with what they want rather than what the audience wants (like they did with IALW, for example).

It's been waaay to long since the band has "plowed ahead" with what they want regardless of what the majority of the fans/public think. I hope they start doing it again!

I doubt the audience were very confused, to be honest; it's just that it's not really the sort of song designed to get a big crowd reaction. Plenty of songs are like that; Miss Sarajevo wouldn't if it weren't for the opera note, The Unforgettable Fire certainly never got really any sort of audience response. The question will be whether U2 are disappointed and find it sedate *even* for this type of song.

I really don't think anyone gets confused by a song at a concert.

I think it's possible that people were unsure if they were actually performing it or whether they were entirely offstage though.

It strikes me as a kind of Daddy's Gonna Pay WTF moment?

I wonder if they did it on purpose?
Darkening the stage, i mean - it's like the band was intentionally hidden.
