Would You Pay To See A Live U2 Concert Broadcast?
« on: February 07, 2009, 07:17:41 PM »
I regularly pay $20 to see the Metropolitan Opera HD telecasts. They're shown in 600 theaters around the world. Other artists are starting to do live telecasts for theaters (my cinema is selling tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert.)

So. Would you pay to see U2 perform somewhere live?

I would, if it was a reasonable price -- maybe $25 tops. It could bring the band to hundreds of markets they'll never play. And seeing them live -- as opposed to film, like U2 3D -- would add something exciting to the experience.

I'd pay also, but probably no more than 30.

No way. They'd end up releasing on DVD anyway so I'd be paying twice.

Definitely!

But let's just make sure they do play "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight."

It's really going to be the best song off this album.

Cheers,

J

I would.  It would be a great way to see the shows I couldn't go to.  Probably no more than $20, though.
