Bono's voice is in better shape to nail the likes of Pride than it has been since ZooTV. I think they should play Pride a little less, but for different reasons.

I think his voice sounds slightly different but not in a bad way. I wouldn't want them to stop playing Pride  :'(

I haven't thought With Or Without You sounded good live for a few tours now.

It got bad enough on the third leg of Elevation that they stopped doing it.

On the other hand, the version of Bad that I heard in Chicago was the best version I have ever heard. Bono wove all of "The First Time" into the middle of the song where he integrates the Stones material on Rattle and Hum. It was incredible. This would be the third leg of the Bomb tour that I'm talking about.

I heard it on the Vertigo tour. It was amazing!

Look up for Bad live in Saitama on Youtube, then come back and tell me he can't reach the notes anymore... He nails it perfectly.   Ditching Bad... what a crazy idea.

Yes, there have been some rotten performances of Bad.  Bad performed on the 1st leg of the Elevation Tour was terrible, especially when his voice gave out on him.

we all have off night when it doesn't quite happen .i don't think this means drop the song.i actually thought bad should have been played more on the last tour.

Listen to the clips from the new album and tell me his voice doesn't sound better than it has for 10 years.

Bono has changed how he sings Pride and Bad now compared to before. He doesn't try to scream the high notes but takes a softer approach to them, often letting the crowd or Edge provide some assistance. He can still hit the notes but with less power than previously.

I think they lowered his vocals in the overall live sound on the last tour too so that the other instruments were a shade more prominent.

This all makes sense though to ensure that Bono's vocal chords get through the demands of 100+ shows. He'll be fifty next year remember!
