Really, you think ASOH? A lot of people on here like it... (which is good because it's my #1 favorite U2 song ever.)
I've never seen a lot of people talk about ASOH

Well, it's definitely not as popular as Bad. :)
coughcauseBadisbettercough but ASOH IS the second best song on TUF  ;)

Yeah, yeah.

Underrated = every song that is Zoost's favorite.  8) :)

 :D

Not all, not all. I think Get On Your Boots is very underrated, but it's not one of my favorites. Same for everything on October.

If GOYB wasn't the lead single, or a single at all, I think more people would like it.

4th of July -- I don't understand why everyone hates it. It's an instrumental.

I see Miami's been mentioned quite a few times... And I agree, it's definitely underrated. Same for Cedars Of Lebanon.

I think we could add Mofo to this list. Barely anyone ever talks of this song.

A friend of mine recently asked me for a playlist of my favorite 25 U2 songs.  I noticed five of those songs were not among the usual favorites:

1. "Exit".  Have you listened to this on good headphones?  Seriously.  It's menacing.  And I mean that as a compliment.

2. "Love Is Blindness".  If the couplets of "The Fly" start side B to 'Achtung Baby,' then "Love Is Blindness" is the appropriate end.  In my opinion, this is the best closing song to a U2 show ... ever.  The Devlins did an OK version.  Jack White took a shot at it.  But the original is so good that it hurts.  The spastic guitar solo are like jabs to your soul.

3. "The Wanderer".  One of the things that Bono/Edge are not given enough credit for is their ability to write songs that fit for other artists (e.g., "She's a Mystery To Me," "When Love Comes to Town").  "The Wanderer" not only ends 'Zooropa' perfectly, but it sums up Johnny Cash.  And this was at least a year before Johnny Cash would become alt-folk cool again with the help of Rick Rubin.

4. "Please."  And I mean the original version on 'Pop.'  The drums.  The bassline.  The guitar.  The lyrics.

5. "White As Snow".  I love the narrative style.  I love the subtlety (something lost in the 'ATYCLB' and 'HTDAAB' era).  I love hearing Daniel Lanois on backing vocals.

About 1/3 of Pop, esp Miami and Gone.  Awesome to see some Miami LOVE on this board!

You mean the original version?   I agree, it is brilliant.

So many Pop songs being mentioned here and I couldn't agree more...I love that album and it doesn't get the credit it deserves.  I'd specifically have to mention Miami and Velvet Dress

Drowning Man is held in quite high regard around here, I think.
