With Or Without You was pretty much incredible; Bono actually sang it correctly! :P It's funny, because as soon as they go back to the 360 tour, he goes back to singing it how he usually does these days... ::)

The Yellow snippet still gets me even though I've heard this part more times than the rest of the show :P

I'm surprised the crowd even knew Stay...

Oh that interview straight after was dire. Bono was, whilst nowhere near as punchable as zane lowe, still about 8.5 on the puncbabilityometer...

3 things from Glasto:

1. The Fly
2. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
2. The person who was waving the Pikachu flag throughout the performance

The Edge.  This guy's still gonna be cool when he's 60.

I LMAO when Mark Radcliffe told the anecdote of the night when he first saw a U2 gig at Birmingam Uni in 1980 and he had his Ford Escort stolen and The Edge came out after the gig and commiserated with him.

My highlight was when The Fly started and the Zoo TV graphics started flashing on the screen. I didn't care if it was so un-original of them or ithat Magnificent was gone, it was just fantastic. I actually squealed "Zoooo" at that point because I was so excited! Best version of The Fly after Zoo TV original and Elevation Boston.

I also quite loved the graphics on the screen for EBTTRT. They were visually stunning.

Really, you think? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the intro to Elevation Boston but unfortunately, as soon as that's over, I think it's the worst version of The Fly out there!  :D

Okay, well I think there's something about these what, 3 current The Fly's that is just awesome. I personally don't like the Vertigo version in the least! It's actually kind of boring. But U2 are pulling it off well on 360.

I dunno, maybe it's the visuals that got me...

The moment during the intro to The Fly when Bono is looking over to his right watching the U2 protest being completely shot down before it had even started and he just shows a little smile to say "HAHA nothing will beat us tonight." very satisfying to know that their most important show for 25 years was not spoilt and Bono inadvertently looks very cool at the same time. I was there. Incredible experience.

From being there:

The whole Zoo TV opening. Brilliant. The visuals for EBTTRT were fantastic, and the Fly was rocking with those words flashing on screen. Was next to a few mad U2 fans who knew all the lyrics, just like me.

One and Still Haven't Found. The crowd participation was immense.

Bad. I was really, really surprised how many people in the crowd knew the words to this. A girl who went with me, who is nothing more than a very casual fan, even screamed when the opening notes were struck by Edge. A really great performance.

Pride. Again for audience participation, absolutely fantastic.

The Yellow snippet. I guess you had to be there, but it was AMAZING!
Only negatives:

- GOYB was crap. even at the front nobody cared. I guess they had to play it, but the setlist would have been better with, say, NYD in there. This is ALLOWED to be a nostalgia show, remember, as it was a one off festival performance. I had a few friends who didn't really like U2 with me. They stayed from one - GOYB. they enjoyed one, streets, i will follow, still havent found, but their interest started to wane during elevation. GOYB was the final straw for them and they left to see DJ shadow.
- MOS. It was a good performance of the song, but a bit of a crowd killer. I know they had to play something from NLOTH so perhaps it should have been there. I don't know what I think really. Also OOC last - again a bit torn. Live i thought it was OK, and enjoyed it, but some people around me didn't know it. Then I watched it on TV and the reaction was great. Hmm. I think it should have been there, but not last perhaps. Play 40 after?
- They definitely should have played 40. I would have LOVED the crowd to sing that on their way out of the Pyramid field. And they certainly would have.
- Bono could have chatted to the audience a TEEENY bit more. and I mean casual chat, not spiritual, profound rubbish. Like  'how's it going glastonbury, are you enjoying yourself?' etc. This was a very very minor issue though. Not really much of a problem.

THAT SAID overall it was a GREAT performance. Might even been the best I've seen them; even over their performances in Dublin 2 years ago. The ZooTV opening, bar being SLIGHTLY out of time for the first verse of Even Better, was amazing. I absolutely loved it.

Well done lads!
