It cannot begin to be described how much U2 will never, ever, ever, ever, ever do a fan-club only tour.

Ever.

And if they did, they would not begin it in Tokyo where I am willing to bet that the number of U2.com members is.... not high.

I know it's not likely, but it would be the most awesome tour ever. They just need a lot of rehearsing time beforehand.

And surely Japan has at least 4,000 hardcore fans.

It's more likely that Beyonce will leave Jay-Z and marry me than U2 do this tour.

Saying that though, if something even remotely similar to this ever happened, it would be the best thing to happen to the universe.

They would need a LOT of Red Bull.

U2's concerts have a 20 to 25 song setlist, and that usually takes around 2 hours. You listed more than 90 songs, and using that math, the show would take 8 or 9 hours. By the end of this year, the entire band will be over 50-years-old. They don't have that kind of energy.

Even if it's only 14 shows, they wouldn't be able to play 90+ songs, even with extra rehearsals. :P

Not to mention, you left out New York. They would NEVER go out on tour and leave out New York.

Based on recent interviews, it seems like U2 can't wait for this one to be over so they can recharge.

I wouldn't blame them - I'm getting a bit fed up with the current tour myself!!!  ;D

U2 don't have the musical chops to learn 90 songs, and play different setlists every night.

Also, they wouldn't even try to learn that many songs and criss-cross the globe to play a dozen or so shows. They would spend more time rehearsing for the tour then touring itself. This tour would also lose lots of money, and one thing they've showed in the last decade is they are very savy when it comes to making money touring.

What they could do though is use 802's suggestion for the size of venue at least as their opening phase of a tour.

That is doable. But a small club tour for fan clubs only, is too limiting for U2.

They should play a series of warm up dates across the west coast of Ireland before embarking on the world tour.

They should build an invisible flying machine that can both fly over mountains AND through them, and can go underwater. They could use this to get from place to place.

Then, they should come out on stage on real live unicorns, perhaps with pixies, fairies, and Elvis. The real one. Not an impersonator.

They could play all of their B-sides backwards. Not in reverse order. BACKWARDS.

Then perhaps they could convince Bono to wear regular shoes. Not really high ones. And have his height officially measured by an ISO accredited tape measure.

I think it could happen.

Bono's voice would turn to *#R$ after 3 shows

I think my suggestion is a tad bit more realistic, doncha think?
