I suppose that is true.

I hate to think of Zooropa's miraculous live resurrection as being some sort of cynical tie-in to the rerelease. But Zooropa wasn't even a part of most of the anniversary editions, right?

In all fairness, Zooropa wouldn't have happened without the AB Berlin sessions.

Don't let the promotion quench anything for you. I saw 360 when it was a NLOTH tour (Vancouver '09), when it was a We're Back! tour (Paris '10), and when it was a GH/AB Promo tour (Seattle '11), and when it comes to perfomance, the third was by far the best.

I saw it in 2009, and actually preferred the overall setlist to the almost breathless 2011 version. It was more subtle and beautiful to me in 2009.

I'd say that would've been a pretty ballsy move, for sure. But alas....

I'd actually prefer the 2 shows (2009 & 2011) that I saw. A lot of the No Line songs received almost 0 audience reaction. I think my whole section emptied for a beer or a p*ss when Unknown Caller was played.

That's because Unknown Caller is terrible, not because it's unfamiliar.

Yes you are right.  Saying "Unknown Caller is terrible" is false.  "Its sucks camel" is a bit more accurate.

Zooropa is not part of Achtung Baby.

It may not be, but the band certainly regard it (the album) as a sister to Achtung Baby, which is probably why the album appeared in the box set. Not to mention that most of the albums' songs debuted in a tour that was created to accompany Achtung Baby.

At this point I would be rather surprised to see a Zooropa box set.

Also, the origins of alot of the Zooropa material probably does lie in the Achtung Baby writing/recording process, so its easy to see why the band would see little distinction between them.
