This is further proof to me that some "fans" just want to hear the same old stuff over and over again. Makes me wonder if they truly are fans.  There definitely  is a difference between some fans and how they view U2 as artists. Some of us, dare I say real fans, want to hear u2's more obscure side while other so called fans can't get enough of the greatest hits crap over and over. While so many around here talk of the next tour being an arena/more b sides type, there are just as many who would be disappointed with that.

It's a little underwhelming for something that fans voted for.

Ahh, but did they?

Anyone want to start a pool of tracks that we can email to each other next week to basically get the CD early?

If we don't get to choose, I bet it's Mysterious Ways. If we do get to choose, I'm starting that pool.

We're talking about u2.com here. I'm sure we can't choose the track.

Everyone probably gets to download Elevation.

A better surprise would have been to let us download one of the tracks that didn't make the cut. Or a guarantee that Bono will no longer be allowed to speak publicly about the release dates of albums.  Either one is fine with me.

Agreed as to both points.

Yay Zooropa!

Now all they need to do is tack Scarlet onto the beginning of Walk On and it will be perfect!

If U2 were in charge I'm 95.2% certain that Vertigo would of made it.

Personally, I'm just happy for Zooropa and The Unforgettable Fire.

Ditto. :)

That could be a deception to make us think they had no hand in the final selection.

Hmmmmm, it does seem to be the only modern* hit missing   :o

Of all your various profile pics, that one is by far my favourite.

I'm pretty satisfied with it. It'll be a nice CD collection. My only disappointment is New Year's Day being left off. Definitely one of their all time best songs live.

For those of you who are disappointed in the lack of NLOTH songs, just listen to the audio rip of the 360 dvd.

I'm not blown away by this selection, I'm with others that would have loved to see more of the rare tracks, instead of the more main stream U2 tunes. Oh well, on to something else.

I'm a bit bummed, but I also have not subscribed yet. I'm just a freeloader there.  ;)

I went to two 360s, my first U2 concerts ever. I didn't get to hear Electrical Storm, My Blue Room, NLOTH, Breathe, Unknown Caller.  :'(

I also did not get to hear NYD which was the first U2 song I can remember loving. WHERE is that one? Hello?!!!

I'm also surprised Miss Sarajevo didn't make it, but I wasn't watching the voting closely to know it was in danger.

I am thrilled to get TUF, Magnificent, All I Want Is You because I didn't get to hear them live either.

Definitely NOT strategic voting. Very odd results actually.   ???

I shall have to figure out how to rip the sound from a DVD once I buy the 360 Rosebowl.
