If it's a tour - new song
One off goodbye show - Streets is simply an unbeatable contender.

At the risk of sounding crass, that's like opening sex with an orgasm. I think it's a bad idea.

yea Streets is way to big a deal to just open the shows with. it worked on the JT tour but not outside that. i still say they open with out of control their first single, then go into i will follow.

I think, when all is sed and done....and assuming it was a one off farewell gig, for pure euphoria like no other, it would be hard to argue against Streets

I agree with Streets.  Yeah, it'd be starting with a climax, but it's like writing a news article, you always want to lead with the most important point.  It's their last show, FFS, every song's going to be a climax, for the crowd and the band. Do it like on Rattle and Hum, with the big intro and them coming out one by one. And I'm starting a GA line list right now for that show, and I'm No. 1.
