Is this what Edge was talking about a few years ago?

I remember reading somewhere a few years ago that Edge was talking about this technology and figuring out how it could be used in a concert setting.  I'm not sure how it would or could be used in a concert setting but that's for Willie Williams to figure out.

Update: I guess I should have watched it all the way through before posting...I learned that at rock concerts this technology allows for the sound for the guy in the last row to be as stellar as the sound for the guy in the first row (or wherever the best place is).

That's a really brilliant invention. I see how it can be useful, such as in a house where the person watching TV wouldn't both anyone else with the noise. I don't really see how it would be useful in a concert though, since I think you would want the sound to go everywhere in that situation.

I think it just might be.  It is definitely an extraordinary idea.  Many uses.
