My problem was I wasn't old enough to be into U2 when ATYCLB and HTDAAB came out :(

I was but bought a CD and then the digital download - wish i'd got the vinyl too...

No clue. Probably indie record stores, but I'm sure they were limited edition.

I'm confident their next album is going to be 2013 since their record label actually said that but for the next release I'm going to get the vinyl right when it comes out and all the singles on vinyl before the price goes up.

I laughed when I thought about U2 being "indie"

When I started listening to them that probably was the genre they were associated with **feels old** :)
