I don't know if they're all telling the truth or not, but at least they're all striving towards a general time-frame. While it may not actually mean an album will come out, it does signify that they have some sort of plan on what they feel like doing.

They must have 7 reasons to exist by now.

Personally I'd like to see 12 or so. But if they release an app for Mac OS and Android, then maybe they could have an "in-app" purchase for finished versions of some of those other songs we'd like to hear finished, such as North Star or Mercy.
They better not go that digital.

For someone like myself, I live in a country and place where it is near impossible to find a physical copy, and I am very happy to have digital access. In fact, as a result, it is a long time since I have bought any physical copy of a cd or dvd, I buy everything digitally these days.... if it is available.

WHOA! What country do you live in? I'm surprised this has happened anywhere in the 1st world, but I guess it is the future.

Well, not everyone lives in the "first world" although I find this to be a bit of a farce these days. I live in Russia, but am Australian. Russia has developed a long way, but not as much as many countries. The thing is, that barely NOBODY in Russia buys "legitimate" music or DVDs. I bought the Rose Bowl DVD for 1000 rubles ($33) at the concert in Moscow, but I could not even find it in the best shops in Moscow that do sell legitimate CDs and DVDs. In my city there is nothing but compilation collections of 50-100 mp3s per disc for an artist. So I don't really have a hope of buying an original cd anymore anyway. But why would I want a cd these days? Even my new car only has an AUX and USB connection for music. CDs are all but obsolete now.

I think you mean iOS and Android. Mac OS is the computer operating system.

Yeah, yeah, pe-dan-tic.

Besides I would also like an app for my Mac OS as well as my iOS.

"We're looking at having it out at the end of summer"

And I'm "looking at" the possibility of winning the lottery and retiring early.

The difference is one is very possible still and the other is not. Bono, Mg,  Edge, Larry, Mercury records, all must be lying yes?

I think you're downplaying the chances of the album !

Lying ? No. I believe they WILL "look at" releasing the album.

The comments by The Edge confirms what we heard from Larry and other sources,
so they do all seem to be on the same page. This is good news, so cheer up grumpy
U2 fans. The album probably won't come out in September, but we will very likely get
an album before the end of the year... There is a lot of incentive for the band to release
an album before Christmas or before the 2014 Grammys at the latest.

Sure, it seems like a long way away right now, but I am excited about a new album
by a new producer and their discussions of a follow-up album. 2013 will at least be a
lot more interesting year in the U2 world than last year and 2014 should be even better.

Fantastic 8) Maybe that means we will hear something new around May or June.

From the snippets I've heard of that, it sounds really really cheesy. Like made especially for a romance movie scene.

I kind of liked it but having been fortunate to hear it on tour I was wanting to hear a completed band version
