It seems that U2 is quite fond of round stages.

Hell, they ought to take the Claw back out for any stadium dates. They can always put a different stage beneath it, preferably a rotating one this time.

Hopefully not - just like it is time for a change in their musical direction, it is time for a change again in the live set up - hopefully they have dreamt something up again that is a departure from 360

Didn't they already say they're going to arenas next time ? How is that, by itself, not different to 360 ?

They also said they were going to release an album called Songs of Ascent.

Plans can change ?

And I don't recall any official release dates for SOA;it was mostly Bono talk. I suspect Spiderman and the spine injury prevented SOA from happening.

Sure plans can change, but the point I was making was what they say and what they do are 2 different things.

Are you, then, saying they're not doing arenas ?

I think he is just trying to say they may or may not do arenas because plans can change. I think it really depends on this next album. But, since they have said they would go back to arenas, I think for now thats what we can expect.

I think it will be hard to compete with 360 when they eventually return to stadium shows.

Actually it should be pretty easy to to "compete" with 360. In terms of performance quality.
